I'd like to know how far you all want to start from eachother, this will determine the map size and the mote formula.

I think 40-60 is a decent distance to place between sides.

How many starting cities are we going to have? I assume 1. And I'd say 40 - 50 would be good.

You assume correct. I'm giving it another day, but I agree to plusminus 50 hexes. Just remember your titan will have a final say in where your leader is popped.

Yeah, was gonna say 40-60, but i think i'd go for the upper end of that, to give us more time to build up our forces.

I have started working out a side...and might post it...eventually...

30-40 sounds good to me, though 50-60 is also desireable. 100 is ridiculous, some of my units would take forever to get there.

Yeah, with 100 some of my units would never get anywhere, and too big a distance would give light, fast sides an advantage over slow, tough ones. Not myself specifically, I have some fast and some slow units, but in general. All tactics should be equally viable.

Actually, I'm starting to think 50. Even at 60, my basic units would take ages to reach another city. Plus, it's right in the middle.

But not too close, because...well, I've already said that. Anyway, I've rambled enough.

Agreed, you have to strike the balance between quick units and powerful units. 50 suffices for that. fast units can reach a city within a few turns, but powerful units can still get there in a relatively timely fashion.
