[SIDE] Voodude Dolls
-General-
Side Name: Voodude Dolls
Ruler Name: Whodoo
Favored Terrain: Swamp
Description: The Voodude dolls are a royal side that popped in the Titan's back yard bayou. While the swamps are less than pleasant for most sides, the Voodudes were happy to exist in the mud and the humidity. The Voodudes aren't a very powerful side as far as direct combat goes, but their combination of special abilities and limited casting make them a decent army. Their odd traditoins and appearance often seem out of place in Erf, where most sides revolve wholly around destruction, Voodudes often prefer to assimilate foes.
As a people Voodudes appear to be a combination of dollamancey and perhaps a touch of croakamancey. They are mostly rather short and made of thick, coarse cloth, with faces sewed on that bear a creepy smile. The royal family is easily spotted because they are sewn together out of brightly colored cloth, with golden embroidery. A unique trait that all voodudes share is that, despite constantly tramping through the swamp, they never get dirty.
Livery: see above
-Units-
Units are shown in the following format
Class: Name: Hits/Combat/Defense/Move, Specials(Special Cost), (Unit Cost)
Fluff Fluff Fluff
INFANTRY
- Spoiler:
Stabber: Pin Cushions: 8/5/1/3, Swamp Capable (30)
Pin Cushions march into battle with several sword-sized bobby-pins stuck into their backs and shoulders. Their power lies in their simplicity, dividing their focus between surviving and dealing damage. With very little armor, they rely on their natural durability and their fierce stabbing techniques to really “Stick it” to their foes.
Piker: Stitches: 7/3/4/2/garrison, Swamp Capable, Builder(2) (30)(Upgraded cost: 40)
Stitches are the jokers of the Voodude army. They are always telling each other jokes while they stand guard in cities. They wield large sewing needles, which they use to make an 'x' on their body after each kill, and to build the kingdom's clothe structures. They can be promoted to field units for 50 shmuckers.
Archer: Darts: 5/7/0/2/garrison, Ranged, Swamp Capable, Rider(2) (40)(UC:50)
Darts use wooden chutes to spit blow darts with surprising accuracy. They adorn themselves with bright feathers, each color holding a unique meaning. They often ride around on Crow-sheys, raining darts down on ground based foes. They can be promoted just like Stitches.
Scout: Crow-sheys: 3/0/0/9/scout, Flight, Swamp Capable, Mount(2) (40)
Crow-sheys are large black birds that always seem to be knitting. While this seems like an odd hobby, they are actually knitting maps of the places they've seen while flying. They are very rarely used in battle, but their impressive minds grant them localized thinkamancy, weaving the G-strings of their warlords into images that resemble their knitted maps. This has a low range, however, of only 6 hexes. Because they are slightly larger than most Voodudes, they are sometimes used to quickly move units across the map.
Knight: Shadow Men: 10/5/5/5/heavy, Swamp Capable, Limited Croakamancey(6), Limited Turnamancey(6) (100) Juice:60
Shadow Men are made of thick black fabric, often rumored to be sewn from the shadows the moon casts in the swamp at night. The supposedly have 'friends on the other side' who grant them their limited Caster like abilities. What this even means is a subject of debate, but their ability to animate the corpses of those claimed by the swamp is well known, as is their power of persuading once vehement foes to abide by the laws of Voodude. They attack by releasing a flow of 'swamp magic' from within their sewn bodies.
SPECIAL UNITS
- Spoiler:
Special A: Croak-a-dilleys: 6/6/3/4, Swamp Capable, Siege(2) (40)
Croak-a-dilleys are large, slimey green crocodiles that are raised domestically by the Voodudes. Croak-a-dilleys are not the fastest or strongest creatures, but they are one of the few units under the Voodudes control that posses the siege special, which makes them useful.
Special B: Swamp-Thing 9/7/3/3, Swamp Capable (40)
Swamp-Things are very mysterious and creepy creatures. They are one of the few units in the Voodude army dedicated to cheap, pure power. These tentacled monstrosities are constantly covered in a layer of moss and swamp slime, hiding their actual appearance.
Special C: Shamans 9/6/3/5, Swamp Capable, Ranged(2), Fabrication(3) (80)
Shamans are fast and durable units who wear outlandish armor sewn from Swamp plants. This unique connection to the swamp allows them to let loose a ranged blast of 'swamp magic' from their 'enchanted' staffs that they carve from Croak-a-dilley skulls. They seem to have a knack for turning items from the swamp into useful weapons.
Special D: Witch Doctor 15/6/6/12/heavy, Limited Thinkamancey, Limited Carnymancey, Limited Shockmancy, Limited Lookamancey Juice:120 (250)
Witch doctors are the most peculiar and powerful Voodudes with the exception of experienced warlords and pure casters. They adorn themselves in weird symbols, have bones stitched into their cloth skin, and wear cloaks made from croak-a-dilley scales and Crow-shey feathers. They serve as casters when no others are available, carrying communication from scouts to warlords, warlords to rulers, and vice-versa. While they travel in stacks with their warlords, they bring wild animals under their control, for they posses the power to tame the swamps many monstrosities.
NAVAL UNITS
- Spoiler:
Naval units have an extra stat after move, cargo. A unit can hold an amount of light units equal to it’s cargo and heavy units equal to half of it’s cargo. The Voodude navy isn't a very impressive force, valuing land based targets rather than control of the sea. Their navy reflects this by focusing on moving a large number of troops rapidly and safely to their destination.
Sloop: Bayou Boat: 9/2/2/5/10/water-capable (60)
Bayou boats are large flat pieces of wood, steered with large sticks that push against the bottom of the body of water they happen to inhabit. No one is sure how this stick always touches the bottom, and yet never changes its height when moving to shallower water...
Galley: Gator Barge: 11/4/3/10/18/water-capable (90)
Similar in design to a Bayou boat, Gator barges are simply slightly larger planks of wood, strapped to several large Croak-a-dilleys.
Galleon: Casino Boat 10/5/15/15/30/water-capable (130)
The pride of the Voodude navy, the Casino boat is a massive pleasure vessel that was once reserved for rulers and their elite guard, or for entertaining emissaries. Its battle version has undergone few changes, and is still valued for its speed, cargo, and defense.
I'm rather new to games like this, so if anyone has some advice on how to improve the side, let me know =)

Re: [SIDE] Voodude Dolls
You can try, but the Voodudes will tear you apart, sew you up, and send you back to your warlord as a message, "Don't mess with us". the swamp is a scary place
PS: I'm not sure which Titan to support. I'm thinking either Sir Shadow or Venti, so which ever one has the lightest load and would be willing to have my little voodudes =)
PSS: Changed my C-Special a little. It is now slightly less powerful, and a little slower, but now it has the fabrication special.
